What I Offer
Knowledgeable Music Approach
I offer a holistic approach to music that starts with the proper technique and notes on the page but then extends beyond to help students ear-train, explore various styles and genres, and connect with the feelings of music. For saxophone students, I also offer advanced studies in improvisation and finding your own style.
Music should also be fun! I like to meet the students where their interests are and help them find music they enjoy learning and playing
Nurturing Learning Environment
I teach out of the comfort of my home studio on a beautiful baby grand piano. I teach with patience, walking with the student through their musical journey.
All ages and levels
I teach piano lessons from age 6 to 106 starting at the very beginning to students working on more advanced ear training. For the saxophone, I start at teaching beginner lessons, through augmenting middle school and high school band instruction, and collegiate level jazz and improvisation.
Musical Performance Opportunities
Playing music in front of others can be an uncomfortable experience. Learning to prepare and perform in front of others is a valuable skill and teaches overcoming challenges in life. Ask about recital opportunities. For those looking for additional challenges or opportunities, I will help prepare students for other local performances, music festivals, or auditions.
Rates
Lessons are scheduled on a recurring, weekly schedule and paid for a month in advance. Paying for lessons on a recurring basis guarantees your regular lesson time on a weekly basis. If more than one member of a household signs up for recurring lessons, a family discount is applied to the combined weekly rate.

Piano Tuning
Rates start at $150
Please contact for an evaluation and price quote. If you’re piano has been neglected and is significantly flat, it may require a “Pitch Raise” which includes a follow up fine tuning weeks after the initial session.
About me
More than 25 years ago, my grandmother gifted my family a piano and it started something wonderful in my life. I started playing the piano in the 3rd grade, grew to learn the saxophone by the 6th grade, and went on to study Jazz Saxophone Performance at the University of North Florida. I have lived in several states now following an Air Force career. Between playing in church or various bands or teaching lessons, music is my grounding force anywhere I live. Music cleanses the soul. A cliche perhaps, but I have found it to be true. Making music with others fills my life and makes it whole. Let’s start something wonderful together on my grandmother’s piano.
STUDIO
Lessons are taught at my in-home studio located in Merritt Island, Florida. Parents are invited to sit and wait in the studio space or wait in their vehicle. Parents are not invited to participate in lessons.
